Shareholder Sara Murray was awarded the President’s Award for her work on the San Antonio Lawyer® magazine and as Chair of the Publications Committee. Sara’s son, Michael Murray, accepted the award on her behalf.  Below is Steve Chiscano’s whole speech for the award: 

My final order of business as president is I am privileged to recognize SABA members who have gone above and beyond this past year in their service to the bar association and to the community.    

The President’s Award is discretionary and this year I recognize two members of the Bar who have been of tremendous service to the bar but sort of fly under the radar. 

 My first award is to Sara Murray for her work on the San Antonio Lawyer® magazine and as Chair of the Publications Committee.  Sara has been on this all volunteer committee since the magazine launched 30 years ago and is in her tenth year of service as Chair and Editor in Chief.

 The quality of San Antonio Lawyer® speaks volumes about her dedication and vision.  Sara has expertly guided the Board of Editors in producing an award-winning magazine that reflects the high standards of our legal community all while managing a full time practice as a shareholder at Langley and Banack.

 Sara is unable to join us today, but her son, SABA member Michael Murray, is here to accept her award.
