Steve Browne practices in the area of general civil trial law, including construction, legal malpractice, commercial matters, and all facets of insurance litigation (personal injury defense, first party cases, and coverage). He has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1981. He has been named a Best Lawyer in America for Personal Injury Litigation since 2010. He is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, Defense Research Institute, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Counsel of San Antonio. Mr. Browne has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, San Antonio Bar Association, and was a founding director of the Defense Counsel of San Antonio. He is a Life Fellow of the San Antonio and Texas Bar Foundations. Mr. Browne has also been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 1990, an invitation only group of plaintiff and defense attorneys committed to preservation of the 7th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and to maintaining standards of integrity, ethics and civility in the legal profession. He served as President of the San Antonio Chapter in 2015. He has been rated AV-Preeminent (highest rating for legal ability and professional ethics) by his peers in Martindale-Hubbell for over 25 years. As an adjunct to his trial practice, he is a certified mediator and also does arbitration work.

Personal Information
Beyond practicing law, Mr. Browne has been active in several non-profit organizations where he has served on the Board of Directors, including the Alamo Heights Little League, Auditory-Verbal International, and the Ear Foundation of South Texas. He has been a National Trustee for the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) since 2004, an organization whose mission is to fund research for treatments, cures, and preventions for inherited retinal diseases. He began the San Antonio/Austin VisionWalk, a fundraiser for the FFB in 2009, and chaired it for 10 years.
