Corporate Attorney

Overview:
Langley & Banack has a robust group of corporate, business, and banking attorneys and we are looking to add to our team. We are seeking an experienced, partner-level corporate lawyer with excellent communication skills and a client-service mindset.

Required experience and qualifications:

    • Expertise in commercial law
    • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and business law
    • Experience in mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, capital raises, corporate reorganizations, and complex entity structures
    • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
    • 2+ years of legal experience
    • Licensed in the State of Texas

Government/Public Law Attorney

Overview:
Langley & Banack has a robust group of government and public law attorneys, and we
are looking to add to our team. We are seeking an experienced, governmental litigator with excellent communication skills and a client-service mindset.

Experienced Litigation Paralegal (Estates, Trusts and Fiduciary)

Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal specializing in Estates, Trusts and Fiduciary litigation to join Langley & Banack. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our legal team on  complex matters related to estate disputes, trust litigation, and fiduciary responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

    • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases, including investigation, discovery, trial, and appeal.
    • Conduct legal research on case laws, statutes, regulations, and legal articles.
    • Prepare and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
    • Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
    • Assist in the organization and management of estate planning documents, beneficiary lists, and asset inventories.
    • Coordinate estate and trust administration, including asset distribution and probate proceedings.
    • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trials, including scheduling, logistics, and witness communication.
    • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, and other parties involved in estate litigation matters. Communicate with witnesses, experts, and court personnel.
    • Draft correspondence, reports, chronologies using excel, create power points for trial, and other legal documents.
    • Maintain and update case management systems and databases.
    • Review and summarize deposition transcripts and other legal documents.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and Certified Paralegal designation from TBLS or NALA.
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
    • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, and court rules.
    • Strong understanding of fiduciary duties, wills, and estate administration.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with eDiscovery platforms and document management systems.
    • Familiarity with trial preparation and support.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
    • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
