Charla Davies appointed to the Family Law Advisory Commission of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization

The Directors of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) has confirmed that Charla D. Davies has been appointed to the Family Law Advisory Commission. The term is for a period of three years beginning May 18, 2022, through February 28, 2025.

Advisory Commission duties include:

Advise TBLS regarding any changes necessary to update the Specific Area Requirements for the specialty area of law. You can access a copy of the current requirements for the specialty area by clicking on the following link: https://content.tbls.org/pdf/attstdfm.pdf.
Review applicants for certification and recertification in the specialty area and submit recommendations of approval or the denial of applicants to TBLS as to whether the applicant meets the Standards for Attorney Certification for the specialty area.
Review disclosure of conduct issues reported by applicants and board-certified attorneys and submit recommendations to TBLS as to the type of action to be taken regarding the attorney’s certification status.
Review any other issues that might arise through the Annual Reporting process.
