We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Litigation Associate or Junior Partner to join our dynamic civil defense practice. This role focuses on Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) defense, representing trucking companies, drivers, and insurers in high-exposure cases involving personal injury and wrongful death claims. Key responsibilities include immediate accident response and scene investigation, managing complex litigation from inception through trial, ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and strategically retaining and working with expert witnesses. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling high-stakes matters, coordinating multi-party defenses, and developing effective case strategies under tight timelines.

This role also encompasses a diverse range of civil defense matters, including personal auto accidents, premises liability (e.g., slip and fall cases), and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims involving serious injuries and fatalities.

Additionally, the role includes construction defect litigation spanning residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include analyzing complex factual and legal issues, navigating indemnity agreements, managing a high volume of defect claims, coordinating inspections, engaging expert witnesses, and representing clients in arbitration and state court proceedings.

Candidates should have strong litigation experience, excellent analytical and advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a demanding caseload. Trial experience is preferred. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Litigation Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling complex civil litigation matters, representing clients in state and federal courts, and providing legal counsel on a wide variety of litigation issues. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. Key Responsibilities:

Case Management:

  • Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

Legal Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct legal research on complex legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Analyze and interpret laws, regulations, and rulings to advise clients on legal strategies.

Client Interaction:

  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and discuss strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services.

Discovery and Evidence Management:

  • Oversee the discovery process, including document production, depositions, and witness preparation.

Settlement Negotiations:

  • Assist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Advise clients on settlement opportunities, providing counsel on the pros and cons of various options.

Trial Preparation:

  • Assist in trial preparation, including developing case theories, organizing evidence, and preparing witnesses.
  • Provide trial support and attend court proceedings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
  • 2–7+ years of civil law experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house environment.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and client counseling abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Collections Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and creditors’ rights litigation, with a strong working knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.   • Represent creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, proofs of claim, and objections.

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop legal strategies for debt recovery.
  • Negotiate settlements, stipulations, and payment agreements.
  • Perform legal research and stay updated on bankruptcy law developments.
  • Communicate with clients, trustees, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

This position is responsible for the timely, accurate, and compliant submission of client invoices through various electronic billing platforms in accordance with client and firm billing guidelines. The ideal candidate will work closely with attorneys, clients, and eBilling vendors to ensure efficient invoice processing and resolution of billing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit invoices via platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, BillBlast, and others.
  • Review and edit pre-bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Maintain client billing profiles, rate structures, and matter-specific billing instructions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve eBilling issues, including rejections and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to address billing inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
  • Support month-end billing cycles and reporting processes as needed.
  • Partner with billing leadership to recommend process improvements and ensure best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal billing experience, with a focus on eBilling.
  • Familiarity with legal billing software such as Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of LEDES formats and electronic client billing portals.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, professional environment.
