Shareholder Joyce W. Moore will present on two topics at the 41st Annual Advanced Estate Planning & Probate seminar in Houston June 7-9, 2017.

Shareholder Marc J. Schnall was named one of the Jewish Family Service’s 2017 “People Who Inspire Us”. Marc was honored based on his community service, professional success and outstanding character. Congratulations, Marc.

Shareholders Bill Sommers and Steve Treu will present on “Construction Law Pitfalls & Collections from a Different Prospective” to the Association of Corporate Counsel’s South/Central Texas Chapter on May 10th. Presentation will begin at 11:45 at Oak Hills Country Club with an introduction by Firm liaison Chris Hodge.

Shareholder Paul Fletcher was inducted as one of the newest Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation on April 18th. Only the top 1/3 of 1% of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.

Shareholder Clinton M. Butler will address “Oil and Gas Lease Basics for Mineral Owners” at the Midland Rotary meeting on Tuesday, April 18th.

Shareholder Kristal Thomson is presenting at two major family law seminars this spring and summer. On April 21st in Austin she will present “Child Support – Coloring Outside the Lines” at Marriage Dissolution for the State Bar of Texas. On August 7th at the Advanced Family Law course for the State Bar of Texas in San Antonio she will present on “Rethinking Rights, Powers & Duties”.

Shareholder Ruben R. Barrera, frequent water issues contributor, shares the history and legal issues surrounding the border waters of the Rio Grande.

Chris Hodge has been named a 2017 Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star in Estate and Trust Litigation by the Thomson Reuters publication, Super Lawyers. Kristal Thomson was selected as a 2017 Rising Star in Family Law and also as a 2017 Top 50 Up-And-Coming Woman Attorney. Congratulations to Kristal and Chris.

Jo Chris Lopez, Justin Morley and Kristal Thomson are among the Top 50 Family Lawyers in San Antonio, as published in the March edition of San Antonio Scene. Charla Davies and Moulton Dowler were also named as part of the city’s best.

Brett A. Miller has joined Langley & Banack as an Associate in the Firm’s Karnes City office. Mr. Miller is a 2016 graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law and he will focus primarily on oil, gas and energy transactions, leases and litigation.
