An injured employee’s exclusive remedy for injuries sustained on the job is to recover workers compensation benefits, except when the employer intentionally causes the injuries. Berkel & Co. Contractors, Inc. v. Lee, 612 S.W.3d 280 (Tex. 2020). This SCOTX case shows how exceedingly difficult it is to prove this exception.

Headquartered in Longview, Texas, the Copeland Group is one of the largest and most admired independent marketing organizations (IMO) in the nation focused on serving the Senior Market.

He was and still is a leader in San Antonio, having become President of the Downtown Rotary Club (which at the time was the largest Rotary Club in the U.S.) and then was the District Governor. He has led by example and is a wonderful person and leader in the Black community and beyond.

With respect during Black History Month, I wish to acknowledge Elwood Clay as a person who profoundly and positively influences all of those who are fortunate enough to interact with him.

Mr. Lewis was a great educator, but also a great influence in demonstrating good ethics and moral values. He taught his students responsibility, respect, and discipline.

In “Let America Be America Again” he expressed hope that the disadvantaged’s unrealized dreams could come true.

His biggest accomplishment, in my opinion, was how he made it his priority to destroy Osama Bin Laden and Yemeni Al-Qaeda in order to eliminate further attacks on the United States.

Percy Lavon Julian is a black scientist who was instrumental in learning how to produce steroids in the lab from plant compounds into steroid medications, progesterone, and compounds that help people with glaucoma and prevent blindness.

Ron graduated from TMI, Princeton undergraduate and Harvard Law School, with honors.
