Kristal Thomson earns standing ovation award from SBOT

Shareholder Kristal C. Thomson was honored by the State Bar of Texas for her exceptional contributions in 2018 to the Bar’s continuing legal education efforts. Ms. Thomson was one of four volunteer lawyers receiving an award selected by the staff of TexasBarCLE, one of the premier CLE providers in the nation. In addition to her speaking engagements in 2018, Thomson was honored to serve as a Course Director for two TexasBarCLE courses.

“Without volunteers, CLE from the State Bar could not be nearly as high quality, as abundant, or as affordable. Attorney volunteers are the reason TexasBarCLE can claim the slogan—Education by the Bar, for the Bar,” said Heady Bower, Director of TexasBarCLE.

Thomson is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Thomson has further distinguished herself by being a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Life Member of the Texas Family Law Foundation, a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and Chair-Elect of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Thomson further serves the bar as a Grievance Committee Panel Chair and a member of the Pattern Jury Charge Committee, Estates & Family Law.
