Langley & Banack expands its Construction Law Practice

Langley & Banack Inc. is honored to announce that William W. Sommers and Marc A. Stroope, have joined their team in 2016.  Combined, Sommers and Stroope bring over 50 years of construction law experience to the Firm.

Sommers, who graduated from St. Mary’s University, has four decades of experience in construction, commercial litigation and mediation and arbitration; representing clients in both State and Federal courts. He has many impressive accolades including Woodward and White’s Best Lawyers in America for Construction 2009-2016, Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyer in Construction Law, 2010-2015 and an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review for ethical standards and legal ability. In addition to these impressive awards, he was recently appointed to the Construction Law Advisory Committee to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) for Construction Law, which will assist  TBLS in the approval of applicants and he will be a member of the exam committee for the first ever board certification in construction law.

Stroope, also a graduate of St. Mary’s University, has valuable experience in commercial, construction and environmental law. A green building expert, Stroope is a certified LEED ® Green Associate, is on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Green Building Council of Central Texas and is the past Chair of the Green Building Committee for the Associated Builder and Contractors of South Texas.
