Richard Butler has been successfully trying civil lawsuits for both plaintiffs and defendants in South Texas since 1978. His trial practice now encompasses a wide array of business litigation, including construction, trade secrets, refinery, insurance, wildlife, deer breeder, and real estate matters. Named one of San Antonio's top business litigation attorneys by Scene in SA magazine, Mr. Butler is also a frequent CLE lecturer and author, having made presentations for the State Bar of Texas, industry groups, and private CLE sponsors. Mr. Butler has also been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer and a Best Lawyer in America for business litigation.

Additional Information
Richard Butler is a lifelong resident of South Texas. His family has been cattle ranching in Karnes County for over 150 years, and he carries on that tradition today. A lifelong fisherman and hunter, Mr. Butler is a past-President and founding director of the Texas Wildlife Association. Since joining Langley & Banack, he has served as the United Way coordinator for the firm. Mr. Butler and his wife Tina attend the United Methodist Church of Fashing, Texas. Their oldest son, Clinton, is an Assistant District Attorney in Travis County, while their youngest son, Dustin, owns and operates a coffee importing and sales company.
