Stephen A. Katz was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1955. After graduating from the University of Texas, Mr. Katz successfully pursued a wide variety of business interests, including managing or starting businesses involved in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, financial and real estate interests.

Mr. Katz is married to Sara Galvan Katz, and they have four children.
